Vintgar Gorge Entrance Fees & Tickets
Visiting the Vintgar Gorge requires an entrance fee, which is used to maintain the trails, bridges, and wooden walkways throughout the ravine. Ticket prices depend on the visitor’s age and vary by month, with the highest rates during the peak season in July and August. While admission is required for everyone, your ticket also includes access to the shuttle buses from the free parking lot and the Bled train station at no extra cost. This added service makes the Vintgar Gorge entrance fee slightly more reasonable — though, in my opinion, the prices remain quite high. There are certainly other beautiful gorges in the region that are both less crowded and more affordable. Here are the current entrance fees in detail:
Entrance fees for the Vintgar Gorge 2026

- Dogs: €3
Important information about ticket purchase
- Online booking recommended: Especially during peak season (July and August), purchasing tickets online is highly recommended. During peak times (between 9:00 and 13:00), purchasing tickets on-site may not be possible due to limited visitor numbers per hour.
- No ticket sales at the entrance: Since 2025, it has no longer been possible to purchase tickets directly at the entrance center of the gorge. Tickets must be purchased online or at selected sales points (e.g., the Vintgar Hubs, which also offer shuttle services).
- Payment: Online tickets can be paid for by credit card. At on-site sales points, depending on the provider, both cash and card payments are possible.
